Spring is here, the snow is off the ground and everything is turning green. Housing numbers though for the month of April were mostly RED when comparing to last years numbers in the Saskatoon Real Estate Market.
Here’s some quick real estate market stats from April 2016:
There are 2012 active MLS listings in Saskatoon, and there are 1323 in the surrounding areas of Saskatoon. View current MLS Listings here.
- Solds are down -5% for the month, and -6% YTD in Saskatoon and MLS listings have decreased by -1 % for month, and – % for YTD.
- There was 377 solds in S1 – S5 compared to 395 last year.
- S6-9 sales are -17% for the month with 99 units sold this April vs 119 last year, and -13% overall YTD. Listings are +1% MTD and +1% YTD.

Sales to listing Ratio! For April 2016
- Sales to listing ratio in overall numbers is currently 40% for April in S1-S5. 34% YTD.
- For the month of March, new sales of homes built in 2013+ were 20% of the total sales volume, and 80% used product. Of the 317 sales, -76 were built in 2013+
- Sales to Listing Ratio for surrounding areas were 27% in S6 – S9. 25% YTD S6-S9
- In S6 – S9 the new builds were a 26% of the market sales. Out of the 99 solds, 26 were built in 2013+
